According
to a report conducted by Binh Thuan’s Department of Sports, Culture and
Tourism, this year the locality has lured 3.1 million tourists, 341,160
of them foreigners – a 13.5% increase year-on-year netting the
province VND4.36 trillion.
Specifically,
in December, the province attracted 270,200 travelers (31,900
foreigners) with the monthly revenue estimated to reach VND423 billion.
The locality’s tourism sector has been busy as foreign tourists come to the area for relaxation, especially Russians.
Binh Thuan’s tourism has been promoted on several TV programs this year including Martin Yan – Taste of Vietnam; Binh Thuan– Pearl in sand and Dong Nai’s Food Festival 2012.
